About Andy

Andrew Nance is the author of the Daemon Hall series for teens. He lives in St. Augustine Florida. Growing up on on the outskirts of west Texas desert country, his family moved to North Carolina when he was eleven, and that’s where he attended high school and college. He spent almost 25 years as a radio disc jockey, working at numerous stations up and down the east coast. Though he’s no longer a professional broadcaster, he volunteers at WFCF, a radio station at Flagler College. In fact you can tune in his new jazz show on Mondays between 5pm and 7pm eastern time, at radio.flagler.edu.

Besides writing young adult novels, Andrew gives ghost tours around the city of St. Augustine, which was settled by Spain in 1565, 42 years before Jamestown and 55 years before the English arrived at Plymouth Rock. He also acts on stage and in independent films. He’s married with two sons, one dog, four cats, two birds, and several snakes in his yard that he also considers family.

Daemon Hall is his first book. The sequel, Return to Daemon Hall: Evil Roots, will be out on July 19th. The first draft of the third has been completed and is tentatively titled Daemon Hall: A Nightmare Gathering.
